Support for locating and working with datasets, statistical information, and geographic data.

2006 ARIS Geospatial Data

Using These Data: This site contains the geospatial data from the 2006 Atlanta Region Information System (ARIS) DVD, as provided by the Atlanta Regional Commission. These data are intended for use with GIS software. Each of the following links connects to a .zip file containing a map layer, or theme, for the Atlanta region. Each .zip file contains the appropriate shapefile for each layer, along with the associated data and formatting files (e.g. attribute data, projection information, FGDC metadata). Please note that all data are in ESRI's ArcGIS shapefile format. Users of these data should cite both the ARC and its contributing sources. The metadata for these files are available below.

As noted above, the data here are from the 2006 ARIS DVD. We make these data available for historical purposes. The ARC has updated the data many times since the release of the DVD in the summer of 2006. See http://www.atlantaregional.com/info-center/gis-data-maps for the most recent data from this series and for other Atlanta-themed geospatial data resources. Data from the 2002 ARIS CD are available here.
