Francophone World Resources: Africa, the Americas, Asia, and the Caribbean: Home

This guide focuses on the regions of Africa, which speak French and were formerly colonized by either France or Belguim. Many of the sources are in French or French and English

New Resources on the Francophone World

The French Colonial History Society has launched in November 2015 #Parissyllabus, an initiative to put the recent terrorist attacks in historical perspective, in relationship to the histories of French colonialism in the Middle East, of French republicanism and Islam, of immigration and multiculturalism, of French foreign policy, of Paris and more.

#Parissyllabus is a valuable resource for teachers, students, or others interested in developing informed opinions on the recent events.  It is a crowd sourced list curated by historians of the Francophone world.
