EndNote: Download & Set Preferences

EndNote is a database program for managing bibliographic citations. It can automate much of the work of organizing and formatting citations and bibliographies in your writing.

Download Endnote

EndNote is available free of charge to Emory students, faculty and staff. Download the software from Emory's Software Express site (Emory network ID required).

Software Express displays a list of Macintosh software first, followed by Windows software, so make sure you choose the correct EndNote software!

NOTE: Once you download Endnote, always check to see if there are program updates!

Set Preferences

Get the most out of EndNote!

1. OPEN PREFERENCES

  • On Mac, select "Endnote/Preferences" from the menu.
  • On Windows, select "Edit/Preferences"

2. FIND FULL TEXT

  • Choose: Edit/Preferences/Find Full Text. (Mac choose: Endnote X#/Preferences/Find Full Text.)

http://emory-primoprod.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com/openurl/01EMORY/01EMORY_services_page?

The AUTHENTICATE WITH URL (which allows you to authenticate as an Emory faculty/staff/student and thus get access to Emory-paid resources) should be:
http://proxy.library.emory.edu/login?url=

Here’s what it looks like:

3. SYNC DESKTOP ENDNOTE WITH ENDNOTE WEB/ONLINE
