Guide to library resources for the course Transnational Black Leadership.

Transnational Black Leadership

Course Description

"This course in general focuses on the experiences of African and African-descendant peoples and their interactions across national boundaries (i.e. black transnational) in selected periods of the 20th and early 21st century. We illuminate these experiences through historical autobiographies/memoirs and biographies of transnational black leaders, in addition to other sources. Students should understand that experiences of black elites may not be completely representative. Yet a critical read of their experiences provide some insight into the societies/communities they purport to lead."
