About This Guide

This guide describes sources of recent (about the past three decades) and historical African American newspapers available in print and microformat and in digital form via Emory's Woodruff Library and/or the Internet.

The guide also includes sources of information useful for identifying, finding, and searching newspapers, such as: availability of newspapers at other institutions; newspaper directories; and newspaper indexes.
