Druid Hills High School

A guide for the IB students of Druid Hills High School.

Find books using discoverE

  • Use the CATALOG TAB on discoverE to find books, journals (titles only, not contents), videos, cds and other materials at all the Emory libraries.
  • OR search Google Books, and if you find a good one that is NOT available fulltext, you can search that title in discoverE.

You DON'T HAVE TO READ THE WHOLE BOOK!!!

  • Often, scholarly books are simply collections of articles by different authors!
  • Even when written by a single author, you can still focus only on the relevant chapters to incorporate research into your assignments.

Once you have located the book's call number, use the Map of the Stacks to find the book in Woodruff Library.

You can

  • Check out books from the library -- set up an account at the Library Service Desk
  • Take photos of book pages
  • Use one of the Bizhub machines (on Level 2 across from the Library Service Desk) to  scan and email book pages to yourself for FREE
