Language Guides

The General Libraries house a number of African language courses (text & audio). All are listed in EUCLID and stored in the Music and Media Library. Included are:

Amharic
Bambara
Igbo
Nyana
Swahili
Twi
Yoruba
Zulu

In addition, the library has collections of dictionaries, grammars, and guides for a number of other African languages. Holdings are listed in EUCLID under the name of the language.

Emory College Language Center promotes language teaching at Emory and can often receommend instructors for less commonly taught languages. The Language lab (located adjacent to the Music and Media Library, Level 4, Woodruff Library addition) also stores language materials for a variety of African Languages.
