Excellent survey, divided up by region, that outlines social, demographic, financial, economic, and cultural trends and developments in each country. A nice set of summary statistics are presented as is a directory of important government officials. An essential guide.   ESSENTIAL! These are great guides to contemporary political, economic, and social forces in most countries as well as links to the latest news concerning political and economic developments.
